  • HDFC’s Q3 PAT jumped nearly four times as it gained significantly from the merger of Gruh Finance (its subsidiary) with Bandhan Bank. Will it declare a special one-time dividend? However, this stock merits a buy.
  • With some countries imposing anti-dumping duty on Chinese tyres, Ceat expects Indian tyre companies to benefit. Buy JK Tyre & Industries and Ceat.

  • United Spirits posted 35% higher PAT for Q3. Buy for the long term.

  • Fortis Healthcare plans to add ~1,200 beds in the next 3-4 yrs. Its prospects look bright. Accumulate.

  • Central Bank of India witnessed a sharp turnaround in Q3 with a net profit of Rs.155.32 crore v/s net loss of Rs.718.23 crore in the previous corresponding quarter. Accumulate.

  • Allcargo Logistics has acquired ~21% stake in Gati so far. As it continues to buy further stake, the latter’s share price is likely to rise further. Accumulate.

  • Tata Coffee intends selling up to 1,60,000 equity shares of Tata Chemicals in the secondary market. Not only will this improve its bottom-line but also increases the chances of a special dividend.

  • KEI Industries is on an expansion drive. It proposes to allot 10,000,000 equity shares to QIBs at Rs.500/share, aggregating to Rs.500 crore. A big positive for the company.

  • Investors with a risk appetite may accumulate Reliance Infrastructure. It will get on the fast track once it clears its debt. Shorters beware!

  • KRBL, owner of India Gate Basmati Rice, reported its highest ever quarterly profit of Rs.159 crore in Q3. At Rs.265, this is a good pick.

  • Torrent Pharmaceuticals is optimistic about its new launches in the lucrative chronic therapy area. Going forward, it plans to expand its business in India, Brazil and Germany. Its future looks bright. Buy.

  • CreditAccess Grameen, a micro finance company promoted by Netherland-based Credit Access Asia, is reportedly faring very well. It has a loan book of ~Rs.9000 crore. Its prospects look bright. Accumulate.
